Representative Harder Statement on Walz’s Decision Not to Seek Reelection

St. Paul — State Representative Bobbie Harder (R-Henderson Twp.) issued the following statement in response to Governor Tim Walz announcing he will not seek reelection:

“Governor Walz’s decision not to seek another term gives Minnesotans a chance to step back and look honestly at how our state government has been operating. The era of one-party control has led to complacency, weak oversight, and allowed for serious problems to take root.

Under Democrat control, a culture developed where warning signs were dismissed and accountability broke down, contributing to extensive fraud and mismanagement. The governor can put it behind him but Minnesotans are left picking up the pieces.”
