Rep. Roger Skraba Begins 2026 Legislative Session

Saint Paul, MN- The 2026 Legislative Session officially started today, and Representative Roger Skraba (R-Ely) was one of 67 House Republicans who gaveled in today to start the session. The Minnesota House is still tied 67 to 67 meaning both parties will face the same challenges and roadblocks as last year with the tie.

“I am glad to be back to work and representing our district and communities,” said Rep. Skraba. “This year it is important that we work in a bipartisan manor to stop the fraud and make sure that hard working Minnesotans don’t lose any more money to fraud. We must hold the fraudsters accountable as well as the people who allowed this to happen.  ”

This session Rep. Skraba is still a member of housing, transportation, legacy finance, and capital investment committees.

“My goal is to make Minnesota more affordable and help families build stable, secure futures. That means addressing the rising cost of living, supporting small businesses that create local jobs, and ensuring parents can afford childcare, healthcare, and housing. Families should not have to choose between paying their bills and planning for the future. By focusing on practical, common-sense solutions, we can ease financial burdens and make our state a place where families want to live, work, and raise their children.”
