Rep. Matt Bliss Statement on February Budget Forecast

Saint Paul- State Representative Matt Bliss, R-Pennington, released the following statement on the February budget forecast.

“The latest forecast shows that Minnesota has the resources to provide meaningful relief. Tax hikes and new spending should be off the table. Instead, we should move forward with federal tax conformity and relief like eliminating taxes on tips and overtime to help workers and strengthen Main Street businesses. We’re also seeing proof that stronger program integrity standards work, as HHS costs begin to come down with basic fraud controls in place. If Minnesota wants to restore the economic balance, we need pro-growth policies, real accountability, and a serious commitment to fiscal responsability.”
