Rep. Danny Nadeau Highlights Bipartisan Focus as 2026 Legislative Session Begins

St. Paul — Representative Danny Nadeau (R–Rogers) today outlined his priorities as the Minnesota Legislature convenes for the 2026 session, emphasizing bipartisan cooperation, practical solutions, and continued progress on issues that matter most to Minnesota families.

“With a tied House last session, we faced real challenges, but we also proved that when we focus on solutions instead of politics, we can deliver meaningful results for Minnesota families,” said Rep. Nadeau. “As we begin this session, my goal is to continue building on that approach by focusing more on areas where we agree than where we disagree.”

Nadeau said he will continue working across the aisle to advance practical reforms in healthcare, retirement security, and support for working families.

Key priorities for the session include:

  • Delivering practical healthcare solutions that protect patients, strengthen local care access, and improve system transparency
  • Promoting legislation that improves affordability across Minnesota and eliminating laws that increase financial burdens on families and businesses.
  • Supporting childcare solutions that improve access for families and strengthen Minnesota’s workforce

Nadeau emphasized that bipartisan cooperation is essential in a closely divided Legislature and said he remains committed to working with colleagues from both parties to move policies forward.

“Minnesotans expect us to work together and get things done,” Nadeau said. “By focusing on shared priorities and practical solutions, we can continue delivering real results that support families, strengthen communities, and move Minnesota forward.”

Rep. Nadeau serves as Co-Vice Chair of the Health Finance and Policy Committee and is a member of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee and the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement.
