Rep. Bobbie Harder Shares Focus Areas as 2026 Legislative Session Begins

St. Paul — Representative Bobbie Harder (R–Henderson Twp) outlined her priorities as lawmakers return to the Capitol, emphasizing government oversight, public safety, affordability, and continued support for rural communities.
“Constituents back home aren’t asking for complicated solutions. They want government to do the basics well,” said Rep. Harder. “That means keeping communities safe, watching how taxpayer dollars are spent, and making sure policies coming out of St. Paul actually work for families, farmers, and greater Minnesota.”
Harder said she will prioritize stronger oversight of state programs, reducing unnecessary mandates on local communities and businesses, and advancing policies that help address rising costs. She also stressed the importance of investing in rural infrastructure and supporting agriculture while ensuring cities and towns have the tools they need to grow responsibly.
“I represent communities where people work hard and expect common sense from their leaders,” Harder said. “My goal this session is to stay focused on practical solutions that support local economies, strengthen public safety, and get Minnesota moving in the right direction.”
Rep. Harder will continue to serve on the Agriculture Finance and Policy, Public Safety Finance and Policy, and Taxes committees this session.
