Rep. Bliss Gaveled in for 2026 Legislative Session

St. Paul- The 2026 Legislative Session officially started today, and Representative Matt Bliss (R-Pennington) was one of 134 House legislators who gaveled in today to convene session. The Minnesota House is still tied 67 to 67 meaning both parties will face the same challenges and roadblocks as last year with the tie.
“I am happy to get back work representing our district,” said Rep. Bliss. A top priority of mine is making sure our communities are safe and affordable. This year it is important that we work to stop the fraud and help bring down daily living costs for the hard-working Minnesotans and their families.”
Rep. Bliss is still the Veterans committee chair and is still on the judiciary and public safety committees.
“Our veterans sacrificed for our nation’s security, and we have a responsibility to protect their financial security here at home. Making Minnesota more affordable means easing the burden of property taxes, lowering healthcare costs, and supporting stable career pathways so those who served can build strong futures.”
