Nadeau Statement on Second Top-level Resignation at Hennepin Healthcare in One Week

ST. PAUL – News broke Tuesday that a second top-level administrator has resigned from Hennepin Healthcare amid accusations of micromanagement from Hennepin County Commissioners. Rep. Danny Nadeau, R-Rogers, released the following statement about the news.
“At a time when HCMC is in turmoil, it’s incredibly concerning that multiple well-respected leaders have now stepped away at this critical juncture. It’s evident that the governance structure and the county board’s micromanagement are causing strain on the professionals who are tasked with running day-to-day operations of the system, and appear to be a major roadblock to necessary reforms and changes that could help stabilize HCMC finances. I have a number of questions about HCMC finances and operations that have been submitted to the board that must be answered before the legislature can make an informed decision about how best to stabilize HCMC and set this critical statewide asset up for long-term success.”
