House Republicans Deliver Major Wins for Minnesota Families in End-of-Session Agreement

ST. PAUL – House Republicans announced major victories for Minnesota taxpayers, families, businesses, and local communities through the 2026 end-of-session agreement, delivering on the priorities they established at the start of the legislative session.
“When House Republicans entered the 2026 session, we set clear priorities: fighting fraud, delivering tax relief, lowering costs for families, helping counties, modernizing government systems, and restoring accountability,” said Rep. Natalie Zeleznikar (R-Fredenberg Township). “This agreement delivers meaningful wins in each of those areas while continuing to invest in the people and communities that make Minnesota strong.”
The agreement includes approximately $400 million in tax relief for Minnesotans, including:
- $125 million in property tax cuts
- $250 million in car tab fee reductions
- Elimination of the ballpark tax
In addition, the agreement includes major investments in technology modernization to help counties improve efficiency, reduce long-term costs, and ease pressure on local property taxpayers.
House Republicans also continued efforts to crack down on fraud and restore accountability in government by building on the recent passage of the Office of Inspector General legislation and locking in Medicaid work requirements designed to create long-term savings and strengthen oversight.
Alongside the end-of-session agreement, Rep. Zeleznikar also championed several bipartisan initiatives during the 2026 session. She chief-authored bills included the Minnesota Nice Homeshare program for seniors, legislation allowing flavored medications for children and adults to improve compliance and accessibility, and funding support for critical bonding projects throughout the region.
Rep. Zeleznikar also continues working toward establishing a pathway for hospitals to better access and utilize the federal 340B prescription drug program to help lower costs and expand healthcare services for patients across Minnesota.
“I remain focused on practical solutions that lower costs, strengthen communities, support healthcare access, and improve quality of life for Minnesotans,” Rep. Zeleznikar said. “There is still more work to do, but this session delivered important progress for families, seniors, businesses, and taxpayers across our state.”
