Demuth condemns church disruption

St. Paul, MN – Following a protest that devolved into the occupation of a church and shutting down of services, Speaker Lisa Demuth released the following statement.

“The behavior we saw over the weekend, with protesters disrupting church services over suspicions of political differences, is absolutely unacceptable. Every leader should condemn this blatant attempt to stifle freedom of speech and religion. Peaceful protest is part of the foundation of our country – shutting down a house of worship because you disagree with one of its leaders is not.”
