Anderson returns to Capitol for new session

ST. PAUL – Minnesota’s 2026 legislative session began Tuesday and Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, said it’s good to be back at the Capitol working for District 12A residents with crucial issues on tap for the coming months.
“It is good to be back at the Capitol with so many key issues to tackle after months of discussion,” Anderson said. “I look forward to getting going with the committee on ag. that I chair so we can work to help farmers in our state and keep Minnesota the ag. powerhouse that it has been. Fraud in Minnesota has continued to make headlines, and I expect it will be a major topic this session as we push for stronger transparency and accountability in state programs.”
Anderson said House Republicans recently shared a list of priorities for the 2026 legislative session. They include:
- Stop the Fraud
- Make Minnesota Affordable
- Make Minnesota Safe
- Raise Standards, Reduce Mandates
- Make Minnesota Competitive
- Minnesota Tax Dollars for Minnesotans
Anderson said he welcomes correspondence throughout the session and encourages District 12A residents to call (651) 296-4317 or email rep.paul.anderson@house.mn.gov to get in touch.
