HF 3676 Safe at Home Act Passed Off the House Floor

Saint Paul, MN – The Minnesota house heard House File 3676 on the floor today. This bill would make changes to the Safe at Home (SAH) program, which
allows those who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment, and
others, to obtain address confidentiality.
“This legislation is about protecting victims and survivors of domestic abuse by ensuring their identities and locations remain secure once they’ve made the courageous decision to leave an unsafe situation,” said Rep. Jim Nash (R-Waconia).
“After hearing from a constituent in my district whose information was exposed to her abuser, it became clear we needed to strengthen this program and that’s exactly what this bill does. I am happy that we were able to pass this bill off the house floor and will be able to help survivors in the future”.
HF 3676 passed unanimously off the House floor.
